I've been keeping up with you Jim. I just don't post much these days.
Your photos reveal a seasoned eye and judicious handling of equipment and
are well-served in your delivery of them to the web.

Ken is actually ahead of me in gear, which hasn't always been the case. I
feel that I will get some sort of E-M1 in time. When I get one, it will
force the E-5 to the shelf. The E-5 handles well with all the old E system
lenses. I really don't feel the need to kick it to the curb, though I
wouldn't mind a smaller kit at times.

I've got a Caanan 5DmkII for FF duties, and likewise I don't want to dump
that camera yet. My son is a video guy and has me interested in a Sony FF,
but I can't pull the trigger. In part there's a standoff in my mind
between which new camera to get first.

What if, with this new software, there's not much difference between the
latest and greatest camera and the older beloved camera to get to the
perceived necessary threshold of resolution? No more pixel-count treadmill?

What I would find hard to get used to is not having a big LCD for
menus/chimping and Live View (mostly the former), although I sometimes feel
like I was a better photographer when I didn't depend on a large-ish LCD
for chimping. That feeling is more nostalgic/romantic than rational
however. In any case, I don't yet itch where the E-M1 scratches.
