Resolution is only part of the equation. Low-light performance (night
photography, or event coverage) is important to me.

Rapidly becoming moot, or at least far less important, as sensor systems of smaller formats become more ISO invariant. Did you look at my test sample (specially taken with GX85, just for you.)? <http://www.moosemystic.net/Gallery/tech/GX85/GX85Shadows.htm>

But also, I find that full-frame has a certain rendering that I personally find
pleasing.

My eyes are just too unsophisticated to see that. I DO do some shooting with FF mirrorless, but I don't see an important difference in the image files.

Smaller sensors can mimic the look, but it's not always
natural. I've talked about the differences between the OM Zuikos 28/2
and 35/2. Two lenses with similar focal-lengths and apertures, but
completely different rendering traits.

. . .

I will need to continue my soul-searching efforts. The photography
world has been moving VERY rapidly to FF mirrorless,

Noise and new models, indeed. What about sales? Seems to me that at least a couple of the recent entries are likely to fail, as the market won't support all of them.
