Thanks Scott

The absolute positioning is what I remembered from my CAD days.
DEC MicroVAX had a pad with puck I got really good with, such that
switching back to a mouse was difficult. This was later 1980s.

Mouse technology has come a long way, but hard for me to know
if there is a solution with that path. Hence I would like to try a pad
but spending $370 on a Wacom is a bit steep when I am not fully
clear it is the solution for me.

Pen drag is also an unknown. All the review talking about how fast
the nibs wear out also makes me hesitant. Hence being able to set
a pressure curve seems an important feature. Many say that 8192
pressure levels is overkill. But if it allows you to set up a very light
pressure via a curve, where for instance mapping 0-512 for full scale
range may be important. Hence the research.

It is only recently where I have been doing more selection in PS that
I have found the mouse very frustrating.

A < $100 pad is easier to swallow if I don't like it.
