Here's a clip from an Amazon user that matches my thoughts.

"...own several knives for hunting and general use. This is a very
interesting design. Before it arrived I thought it was just a novelty, and
didn't expect much. However, it is how pocket knives were designed several
hundred years ago and I think it is quite a simple design yet effective.
Sometimes less is more. The steel on the Svord is excellent quality. It
arrived razor sharp. This is a great all-around use knife. Hunting,
camping, the car, the boat, the garage. It feels great in the hand, just
the right size. The blade won't flop out when closed as it is held in place
by the pressure of each side of the handle pinching the blade to keep it
enclosed. The brass screws allow you to tighten or loosen the amount of
"pinch pressure" to your liking. What a great knife for the money. Just buy
one, you won't be disappointed!"

All I would add is - the shiney edge you see is raw Swedish steel... It
will rust, even from pocket sweat.
You can wait for it to develop a patina, or hit it with some instant gun
blue, like I do.
