With MD1 on the 18V grip (no body), turn switch to single, hold release button down and short 2 contacts together with tip of screwdriver or something else metallic. Motor should run but this may be a way to reset mechanical switch inside. If it runs, put back on body and try.

If not give close inspection to contacts up inside the grip. If plastic around contacts is melted, it would need service.

MD2 is too problematic in my experience. The simplicity of MD1 makes it a better starting point.

Finally found a MV18 Battery Pack yesterday

Came with a nice looking Motor Drive 1

I have a nice looking Motor Drive 2 as well (no batt back until yesterday)

Replaced LR44 in MD 2 (displays counters all good)

Loaded up OM3 with Fuji mounted 180 f2.8 and motor and nada sequence or single

Swapped motors nada

Swapped bodies (OM3 number 2) nada motor action

Both bodies work fine with Winder 1 and 2 units (and yes I removed the cap)

Fresh Duracell AAs it’s 70 degrees and sunny so not cold batt problem

There are two contacts at the top of the battery holder reading 18V (1.5v x 12)
as it should

All contacts fine and clean (Internal external)

Can’t get any OM to work with either motor an I forgetting something stupid

Motors and M18V Pack new or like new
