The GX7 is certainly the wildcard. If the store carried Panasonics, I would
have tested it too. These were the three MIL bodies of interest that they
had in stock. Oh, other than the Leica sitting over in the BMW corner.

There are cameras that you pick up and you get a silly grin across your
face. It's something that people get when they see the IMAX viewfinder of
an OM, or the grip experience of the E-1, or feel the silkiness of the
focusing mechanism in a Leica lens, or the rightness of the Fujifilm X100S.
But all three cameras felt "logical" to the scientific brain, but did
absolutely nothing to get my hormones in an uproar.

Cameras like these are like Android phones. The über camera is only the
über camera until the next über camera comes out. There is a reason why I
hang on to my cameras so long--it's because I'm so picky about getting the
right one in the first place.

There is one thing I had been waiting on. I was waiting for the EVFs to
reach a certain threshold of resolution. All three of these cameras crossed
that threshold and really are good enough for me.
