Nothing's perfect, Bill.  Apple's is just a different way of computing.  I far 
prefer it to Microsoft's way.

I had to instal a printer driver on a Winders machine yesterday; it took about 
10 times longer than on my Macs.  

At work I waste a lot of time with "network settings" on startup and "saving 
your settings" on shutdown.  It is with great relief that I return in the 
evening to my Macs; they are flawed as well, but in a more palatable way :-)
