Commandline kung foo
A simple rexx script is all I use to copy *.orf to my raw directory and
anything else copied to my 'year' directory with a copy left in my
working directory, all by simply pluggin the camera in and either
typing 'getnaked' from a commandline or doubleclicking the icon on the
desktop :)
The script will also create my year directory if it doesnt exist before
copying the files over, and automaticly convert Oly raw files to jpg
using DCRaw and PMView.
So I end up with a copy in my working structure ready to edit, and the
original file in my archive directory structure. I could also have the script
clean the card but I like to do that manually AFTER I've been able to
check the files.
You should be able to do the same thing as a batch file under Windows
or a shell script under Mac OSX, Linux, or Unix.
A little bit of knowledge can make ones work flow quick and easy :)
