I think it is part culture--Spain is just more relaxed than the
Netherlands--and I say it as someone who lived in NL for 5 years and very much
likes the Dutch culture, the people, the language etc. But also partly it is
that Alicante is a major tourist destination and the people in the market are
used to visitors with cameras. And finally, I have been coming there for 3+
years, and I think some of the stallholders by now know me as the harmless guy
with the little camera (M8 or GF-1).
