The version of silverfast that came with my first scanner, the epson "Best
scanner EVER" of hat month, was quite good and easy to use. Very easy with
no book needed, The version of Viewscan I tried was inscrutable.

The totally inscrutable interface of Silverfast "light" of whatever it's
called that comes with an Epson scanner was enough to make me return to
Epson scan or Vuescan. Either one.
