But, as pointed out earlier, while there are few manufacturers there are 
distinctly different panel technologies used in low end displays (a few 
hundred dollars) and high end displays ($800-1,000 or more).  This is 
the LaCie 324, the cheapest of the high quality ones (under $1000) 
recommended by Will Crockett.  Others are by LaCie and Eizo.
