I have not done some shooting with the E420 plus pancake, and it
feels pretty good. I have not had time to process the pictures yet (I
shoot only RAW) but certainly the camera feels fine. My only
complaint is the location of the strap lugs which, combined with the
weightless 25mm lens and the curvature of my stomach make the camera
tilt backwards when carried around my neck. But that is a minor
irritant.
I am going to the Netherlands next week, and given that I am flying
Easyjet one way and Ryanair back, and I need to bring my laptop etc.,
I will take only the E420 with the pancake. It is also a nice
exercise to spend a few days shooting with the equivalent of a fixed
50mm lens--back to basics, so to speak.
