I believe it's Bust Buy that has an advertised Compaq laptop for $299
right now after all the rebates. Scary cheap. Even has Windoze Vespa
on it. Basic version.

I will sometimes email a Craigslist seller, particularly about a Dell
computer they're selling. I know Dells very well, and will sometimes
suggest, very politely, that their price is not reasonable. I make it
clear up front that I am not a buyer, but thought they might like to
know why they are not getting responses.

I did it this morning. They had a P3 based laptop posted and wanted
$495. You can buy a new laptop for $495.

I get about 1/3 "Thanks for the info", 1/3 "Shut you A**hole it is worth
more!" and 1/3 no response.
