My second one is done. :)
Unlike the instructions shown on "The Strobist", I recommend that you
come straight up through the cover, however, by bending over and up
through a central hole, you'll probably have better resistance to
having the solder connection crack.
I have curled mine, but may experiment with that.
Honestly, it takes longer to heat up the soldering iron than to do
the entire project. This is probably the easiest and fastest DIY
radio project I've ever done. There is absolutely no reason to not
do this. If you screw things up too bad, well, another set costs all
of a bottle of Whiskey.
