Even VNC can be very handy. A job can be started on an always on box
through a VNC on a laptop, then repeatedly looked at during multiple
startup/shutdowns of the laptop no matter where you are. Multiple
firewalls and the required secure connection for access don't cause
any problems.

If I ever get some free time, I'm going to have to look at Mac's. As
bad as IE is, there are many websites such as banks that only work
with it. Having a unix heart with plain jane applications readily
available is appealing.
