[OM] Custom Settings - Looking for advice

I am a relatively inexperienced digital user and very recently acquired
an E-1

I would like to benefit from the collective wisdom of the group as
regards useful settings to store in the custom memory. 

The ideal would be the existence of a matrix or spreadsheet where users
could contribute their particular settings with a brief description of
the application or situation it was designed to address.

Users could contribute by using a standard script which some kind person
could add to the matrix.

Does such an application exist? I am happy to sit at the feet of the
masters rather than try to re-invent the wheel.

Head now slowly dropping behind the parapet.
