Very true, Simon. There was an "interim" model between the OM-1 and the
OM-1n, called the OM-1 MD. It had the "MD" badge stuck on the front of
the body somewhere (near the self-timer ?).
An OM-1 without the "n" or the "MD" will not take a Motor Drive or
Winder, I believe.
