Darin,

The remote cords by design probably aren't supposed to be used with NiCd
pack. They fit good enough, just not as tight and convincing as with a 18V
control grip.

Regarding your questions, I could act as if I know all (those) facts by

O.T.O.H., if you allow me to be knit picking on your question:
The rewind feature is compatible with the 2sp, its functionality just is not
available with any other body than the 3(Ti)and 4(Ti).
