I thought I would present another side of my trips to Bolivia.

Here is a picture of a rather interesting mountain, taken with the C5050.

I hadn't been through this area before our trip last April, so the color of
the mountains, and the layering, was quite interesting I thought. This kind
of scenery went on for hours it seems. You can also see the condition of
this road, which is rather typical of what we drive on. So when I say we
drove on it for several hours, we didn't actually go that far in distance,
as travel is slow. Some of the road was quite a bit worse, especially where
water overflowed the road. The scenery just seemed to beg you to stop and
snap away with the OM2s and 35/2.8, loaded with E100VS. But I could only
convince the others to let me stop every once in a while, not around every
corner as I wanted. :-)

Here is a sequence of 3 shots of switchbacks on the road, numbered 1,2,3.
Taken from left to right you can see they overlap quite a bit, but they sort
of give the idea of the panoramic view. From the riverbed, to where we were
stopped to take the pics, measured about 3000 feet change in altitude, as
measured by the GPS. The roadbed itself is not too bad here, but the climb
is pretty steep, something which I do not know how to capture with a camera
to give the effect. In the first picture, you can see the switchbacks in the
road on the far side of the river as well, as the road descends down the
mountain side into the valley.
