I wouldn't be so sure Fernando. Most of the problems come from the feed
and the fact that the fish are crowded together. Chile is/was one of the
leaders in farm raised salmon. Even right after the coup Japanese were
investing in operations in the southern canal region with the blessing
of the Pinochet regime. There was little environmental regulation and I
don't think it's much better now.
