If asking OT questions on the OM list is OT then would asking OM questions
on the OT list be OT? I'd ask OM questions on the OT list as I'm sure that
most of the OM expertise would follow both the OT and the OM list but it
would be easier to follow one list otherwise I'd end up being OT on both the
OM and the OT list.
I don't think I made any sense there so probably having an OM and an OT list
wouldn't either. I think. I'm confused.

I think the list is fine as it is. Some of the OT threads are fun but some
do go on for too long a time. I've learned many interesting things from the
OT discussions. The multi-cultural makeup of the list provides an
opportunity to see things from many different perspectives. I can go through
a lot of mail with the delete button if it's not of interest to me. /jmac

Well, I'm in both camps, I'm afraid. I make many gruesomely on topic,
often tediously long and/or overly detailed and, surprisingly, mostly
accurate posts on the core business of the list. And then, I participate
in the lighter, more social and definitely OT threads too.
