Thanks for all the emails about by film scanner problems.
I now batch scan in raw mode at 48 bit and then batch process later for
corrections and save as 24 bit top reduce the space eaten. That way I
minimise slide handling and do all the processing with the greatest bit
depth.
I have found that the lock film base colour options and lock exposure
options work well but unusually the lock colours option does not.

I have orderred a A4 IT8 target and want to build icc profiles for my
scanner and the films I use. The question is what procedure should I use
to do this?
Should I use white lighting or sun light?
How can I seperate the effects of the scaner from the effects of the film?
or should I simply profile each type of film I use and consider this a
combined scanner/film profile?

Your will a billion questions
James
