Just catching up with some of the threads . . .
A rather late congratulations is in order.
What I find very interesting is a radio network hosting a photography
competition! I immediately got visions of them holding the photographs up
to the microphones so everyone could hear them. :-)
Hope all went well during your trek to the studio today. Just making the
cut to the "short list" is an achievement in itself.

Sorry for the OT chaps and chappesses, but I have just heard from the BBC
that I am on the short list with my entry for the "My Britain at 6am"
competition. This is being run by the Today programme (early morning
current affairs programme on BBC Radio 4 - the best radio station in the
world in my opinion) and started with a professional photographer's
portfolio. The final list will be subject to a vote, and someone will win
from the vote.
Anyway, it is OT because I used my Bronica RF645 and 45/4 for the shot,
but on-topic because Bob Gries recommended the film - Ilford Pan F - and
Bob used it with his OMs. It's a tenuous connection, but sufficient for
me ;-) A better connection is that the professional photographer is one
Nick Danziger; he was featured in OlympUser, the British Olympus magazine
for the Olympus Camera Club. On the BBC website, you can see him holding
a 4Ti with a rather battered hood on a lens:

The shot is of the back of King's College, Cambridge early in the morning
in May this year, including the River Cam and a lovely old bridge (whose
name I don't know). I will provide a URL when I know one.
