OM1 with 50/1.4, 35/2.8, 135/3.5 and 135/2.8
(with pretty much just the 50/1.4 being used). It should be
noted that this was bought *after* the C*non.

Olympus c*5050*z - I am loving digital at the moment. The
instant feedback is the biggest plus for me, a "growing"
photographer, as it lets me see the error of my ways,
and correct them, straight away. Educationally it has
been wonderful for me.

> 2) Medium Format

As recently mentioned, a Y*shica 124 T*L*R. I am going to
test it, but may not end up using it much (unless I finally
do those courses locally, where I might subsequently take
advantage of their darkrooms-for-cheap-hire-for-members).
This might be the way to "test" your interest in MF, Albert -
they are relatively (to a Fuji RF?) cheap cameras. Mine was
AUS$140.

No. don't have one....but now that you mention it....<g>

> 4) Another 35mm system

C*non E*S system 50*E/El*n II*E, with 50/1.8, 20-35, 28-80
and 100-300 (the last three are 'consumer' zooms, with
predictable variable apertures). I use this extensively
with the 100-300 for sports-shooting (touch-footy and
softball), where I find the AF amazingly quick and accurate
(though less needed on the softball, which is fairly
predictable and thus open to pre-focus). I couldn't have
done the Touch Footy photos for the club from the Gay Games
last year without the AF (which reflects on my focus skills,
and not on the AF ability of the camera). I find it to be a
very 'user-friendly' camera for something with 'gizmos'.

They each do their own things above, so I'd say they supplement
each other. I like having the options (except when I'm packing
for a holiday!). I have tended to use the OM1 mostly since its
purchase. Somewhere I read that most published photos are taken
with a 'normal' - 50mm in 35mm format? - lens (I don't know how
reliable this statement is, so pretend I just said "I read it
on the internet"), and I like the feel and simplicity of the
OM1-50/1.4 combination for the types of photos I take this way
(family snapshots and city-strolling). The digital is getting
the most use at the moment though, but you should add a dash of
"novelty value" into this statement.

All of the above should also be read in light of the fact that
I am a relatively beginner, amateur photographer producing
photos that he generally loathes regardless of equipment, and
who gets photo-stroll opportunities about once a month. I
think the far more experienced and skilled amateur and
professional photog's here might have very different
reasons for any "supplements. :-)

Oh, and the OM1 and film will always be around me because I
hate battery-reliance. It's not necessarily a rational thing,
but then I think rationality never provides the *total* picture
for a person's way of working and choice of camera due to
the "creativity" inputs. I could use the C*non with the 50/1.8,
but I prefer the OM1 with the 50/1.4 to work with at that focal
length. I don't totally know why, nor care *too* much - it just
works for me.

Cheers
