Welcome to the list. Your qualifications as a person with strong 
opinions on technical and esthetic matters appear to by spotless. You 
could have said that your Nikk*r intentionally sacrificed itself so that 
you would be forced to learn the beauty of OMs because ti sensed that it 
wasn't good enough for you. That makes a better story, doesn't it? :-)
