Thanks for the explanation on the 2's battery.
I am sooo ready to have my baby repaired.  That OM-1 is a member of the
family.

I will hold off on ebay, though I appreciate the sheer variety there.  St.
Louis has 2 camera stores with used stuff so when I get a real hankering, I
just walk in and fog up the glass cases.

So the Tamron 80-200 is great for Olympus?  Hmmm.  I have a Tamron 75-300
for a Canon my husband bought me.  I use it in manual focus mode.
