Inspired by Tom's photo of his gear, i picked up a set of shelves yesterday
and am in the process of trying to organise my stuff... The bad news is
that i need to go back and buy a second set of shelves... also realised that
i have a lot more oly stuff than i thought i had, including duplicate lenses
that i didn't know i had...
Doing this, one thing i noticed and that's been bugging me for a while
anyway, are the two different styles of lens caps. The earlier ones are
thinner, the "olympus" lettering is smaller, and they don't decide to pop
off the lens by themselves. With the earlier ones i never worried about a
lens cap coming off by itself even if the lens was bouncing around in a bag
so never bothered with filters, but with the newer ones, they even come off
while attached to a camera in a case.
Anyone have any idea why they replaced a good product with an inferior one,
and when?
