Congratulations. How do you find the 'pancake' (40mm) lens?

One thing you won't get is a definitive answer as to which lens is
better. :-) Each of the lenses named above are great. I myself am in the
100/2.8 SC basket. It has the reach I like, it is small and handy, gives
nice sharp photos and has that special 'glow'. OTOH, there are quite a
few people that weren't happy with their 100/2.8 claiming that it's too
soft or just not right.

85/2 is a nice small lens, not as common as 100/2.8. It's sharp, small,
fast. Many on the list prefer this lens. Can't say much about it, don't
have it ... yet.

100/2 is one of the finest lenses Olympus ever made[2]. Up there with the
big guys. It's part of your 12 stop plan[3]. Well worth the money and
counts as first stop. :-)

Of course, if you don't regularly enlarge your photos beyond 8x10 you
probably won't notice any difference between the lenses. (Heretic? Me?)

And, to answer your question which lens to get: Why, all of them, of
course. :-)

And yes, eBuy is one of the venues where occasionally people report to
get really good deals on some of the OM equipment. I have not been privy
to such luck yet, so I'd take their e-mails filled with excitement about
'fanging'[4] that 90/2 with a fistful of salt.

you get for less than one 10th of a price is definitely a fang.
