Back in the '70s, I know that I used to be able to make B&W slides from
normal negative film. I still have some of them somewhere. I wish I could
remember how I did it. Does anybody out there know a technique for this?

Assuming it hasn't died in product cutbacks, there's a reversal
kit from Kodak for T-MAX films.

Ilford has reversal-processing directions on-line, see
http://www.ilford.com/html/us_english/pdf/reversalproc.pdf

I seem to recall there's at least one B&W reversal process in
_The Darkroom Cookbook_, too.
