The last MacWorld? Are there plans to stop having them? I know the
east coast event is being moved to Boston, but I hadn't heard
anything about the west coast event not happening.
Steve Jobs and the folks who run the Macworlds (I forget who and I'm
not on-line at the moment) are in a p***ing contest over who will be
where. Jobs doesn't want the show moved back to Boston. He's also
made some comments about Apple's presence at next year's San
Francisco show. And I've read a fair amount of conjecture from a
number of sources that claims that Apple is no longer interested in
experiencing the pressure of Macworld-timed introductions of
"significant" new hardware/software -- perfectly understandable
behavior, IMHO. So, yes, this may be the last Macworld. But, then,
who thought COMDEX might bite the dust?
