I'm sorry, I should have mentioned my data was for NikonScan.

I think we have too many variables here -- processors, speed, software, 
interface -- to make a rational comparison! :-)

But I did find NikonScan on a 150MHz G1 to perform nearly equal to it on a 
250MHz G3.
