Rotating affects the amout of reflections suppressed by the filter. At
leasts thats what my eyes tell me.
The reflected light (besides the fact that most light is actually refelcted)
does not pass the filter depending on it's position and thereby renders a
somewhat darker image.

Maybe my eyes are even worse than I thought, but it sure seems
to me that rotating the polarizer can change the degree of
darkness/polarizing (cannot think of the proper word), as seen
through the viewfinder.
