Mostly mirror lock-up -- I suppose some folks pre-set the camera, then
lock the mirror up to avoid vibration(?), or to avoid risking their
eyes.  I suppose it could also damage the screen if the mirror was
down....

The worst case I've seen was when (it appears) someone left the camera,
lens attached, mirror locked up, on the seat of their car.  As the sun
traversed the sky, it's image was focused onto the curtains.  At the end
of the day, there was a neat arc of burnt spots across the curtain.
