It could be just the combination (as someone else noted) -- this particular body
with that particular lens and this teleconverter = jamming.  The camera's
mechanism is designed to provide enough force to operate Olympus lenses and
accessories (if they're functioning properly, that is), and they are
exceptionally light and efficient.  Add a non-Olympus lens or accessory into the
mix and there's no telling for sure what may happen.  I've seen non-Oly lenses
that, by themselves, would lock up an OM camera -- the mechanisms in the non-Oly
products weren't designed from the start to work on an OM body, they were just
adapted with extra springs, levers, and rings to operate the aperture, etc.  All
the extra mechanism was just too much for that particular camera to push.
