[OM] Introduction / Survey / E-20N question

Subject: [OM] Introduction / Survey / E-20N question

Paul Kraig (that's me) would like to say hello from Lake Hawkins Texas,
where I reside with my wife and three children. I have only just recently
come across the list and thought that since you are taking a survey it would
be a good time to chime in.

I have recently and most happily become OM "Light" - having divested myself
of 7 bodies and 9 lenses. I found myself so wrapped up in my equipment that
it was getting in the way of my photography. Always feeling guilty about
letting good equipment sit, or when I was using them worried about doing any
damage to them (the majority being three OM-3Ti's and two 4Ti's) that my
hobby had become a burden. Now I am the happy owner of two very
un-collectable bodies and a small stable of lenses; they are (here's the
survey part)
1 OM-1n
1 OM-2n
1 MD-2 (that I still need to get rid of)
1 Winder 1
1 F280 (that has to go)
and the following lenses

28/2.0
35/2.0
50/1.4
85/2.0
100/2.0
135/2.8

I am once again enjoying photography with the cameras that have the least
amount of bells and whistles, not to mention price tags.

Which leads me to my next issue:

I have a lead on an E-20n for $700.00 new in sealed box with warranty and 3
week return policy. The seller is overseas and accepts Visa/Master Card. I
am not sure if he is a dealer or an individual as I am only in the
preliminary stages of communication (through an business associate based
there). Really don't know what to do, seems like a good deal but have never
made an overseas purchase before - does Visa protect me? What are the
dangers? I would really appreciate any input any of you have on this.
Thanks so much, Paul Kraig
