I was browzing the evil one the other night and noticed a Series 1 lens
whose owner claimed:
THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW THE GREAT OPTICS OF VIVITAR LENSES PROBABLY
KNOW THAT THOSE SERIAL NUMBERS STARTING WITH FIRST TWO DIGITS BEING 22
WERE THE BEST..MADE FOR VIVITAR (WHO WAS NOT A MANUFACTURER BUT RATHER A
DISTRIBUTOR) IN JAPAN BY KIRON TO RIGID SPECIFICATIONS.. NOT THE
INFERIOR KOREAN ONES MADE IN THE SAME ERA.
Has anyone else heard of this?. I have read Robert Monaghan's site a
bit and had not seen this there.
