The mechanical 1/60 was an option that was possible but not as desirable. My
lens
was a f2.8 and I was getting shutter speed readings of about 1/15 sec.
Furthermore
my Tamron 2.8 zoom, being the big thing that is was doesnt balance as well with
the
small OM body. Until I get a motordrive to balance out the weight, flash will be
the only option in poor light.

By comparison, my Leica had a 35/2 on it, I could go to 1/30 sec and still hand
hold it, keeping the images sharp.

I am not dissing the OM4Ti, I love the camera for its many attributes. It is the
best SLR I have ever used.

But I am dissppointed that it had to fail the way it did. None of my other pro
level cameras have given me any such problems at all, EVER. For it to happen the
first time I was using it does reduce my level of confidence in it, as it
should if
it ever happens to you.
