Actually Apple paid Xerox PARC for it and then further developed it.
Not aware of MS paying Apple or Xerox for it. Indeed MS copyrighted
the name of the environment which others were using and claimed they
invented it. Typical of a grasping, greedy, monopolistic
organization. I am always surprised that anyone who is independent
enough to use OM stuff seems to be held in thrall by MS. No insult
intended.
