Any cable release should work unless it's a real acme type with a plunger
that doesn't extend far enough. Also, if the screw inside the release
button goes out of adjustment, it may not work. This might also affect your
ability to relight the meter with the release button. Some cable releases
twist as you push them. This twisting can eventually turn the screw inside
the release button.
