It is easy to forget what you are about when doing eMail. If you were at a large gathering of people which this is and someone said something you did not agree with you would not start yelling at him. You would just excuse yourself and begin a a conversation with a more congenial little group. People are going to make judgments about other people, rightly or wrongly, but where are you allowed to attack another person in a social setting? At the worst you would be arrested. At the least you would be considered rude and boorish.

Maybe the people who feel impelled to add their two cents to this little tiff and let everyone know how they stand on the issue should think about what they would say or do in person before composing a message. The people who separate combatants at a social gathering, not the people who join in and make it a riot.
