Man, you really don't get it.  All of the import requirements focus on two
things.  Emissions and Safety.  If they fail either, they don't come in.  If
we're trying to protect our auto industry, we sure suck at it.

Chris,  I would strongly suggest you rethink your plan on moving to the US.
Given your horribly pompous attitude about the US and all things in it, you
really won't like it here.  You will soon discover that Americans do NOT
like people that form strong opinions from prejudice, particularly without
any actual experience.  Your dislike and condescension come through
strongly.
