 "exhibits" in exhibitions, or even in court.

Surely, It's both: "I'm going to exhibit some of my B&W work in that new
gallery in a few weeks".  In which case, the display of my work would be
an exhibition, of course.


Yes Ian, it is a verb as well.

The complaint from someone (Andrew F?) was that people (perhaps from
the USA) were using the word "exhibit" instead of "exhibition" - that
the former was not a noun, only the latter.  Well I pointed out that
you could have one of the former *in* one of the latter ... as well
as in court, in the evidence.  Since you mentioned it, are you in
fact going to have one of the latter (the original latter), or even
some of the former in one of the latter?

We should be told!
