It shouldn't be too bad, especially with the MD2 and its counter balanced
motors.  The motor doesn't need to move much to trigger the shutter, it's
probably no worse than using your finger to trip the shutter.  Under extreme
magnification, you probably wouldn't want to use it though.  I find a motor
drive extremely useful when taking macro picture of live insects.  It lets
me keep my eye glued to the viewfinder while triggering the shots using the
control grip.
