My god, you actually don't believe the guy. As if its impossible to not pay
what to the rest of us, is a fortune. Stop trying to balk at the happenstance
of NOT paying the current stupid prices out there. Some out-of-the-way shops
look at that lens, and try to price it fairly from their experience with
lenses in that focal length.
