Okay, here we go again...

While I'm not criticizing KEH, because they have a reputation for selling gear that's often better than described, what's the deal with skipping from "EX" to "Bargain" in their system? Is there something wrong with "Very Good"?

And what about the infinite variations of EX used by other dealers? EX+, EX++, EX+++, etc. (Howcum there's never an EX---?)

Mint? No such thing. That's a numismatist's term. Mint-? What's that? A silver dollar that's worth 98 cents?

Personally, I'm lobbying for a system that, if not based on numbers like B&H's, simply consists of:

- New (what it says);
- LN (this could encompass demos that haven't been abused);
- EX (this could encompass demos too);
- VG (includes typical Wal-mart demos that have been drooled on);
- Good (all these assume the item functions properly mechanically);
- Fair (may have minor mechanical problems like stiff focusing);
- Poor (looks like a mangy mule and does even less work);
- Parts Only.

Nah.  Let anarchy reign.
