:But you promised earlier not to buy it Hans... ;-)

I know, I know, but for half the price (Hfl.500) NIB including full Olympus
warrenty I just couldn't resist. It was the kit, so the converter was
included.

:Seriously, this is very interesting indeed. I sure look
:forward to the added Centurion info. My guess is the Centurion probably is
as
:underrated as the iS series cameras (and the OM-2S/P/ for that matter).
Will it be
:added to the iS/L page or on a separate page?

It will be added to the iS/L page, in a separate paragraph.

:Did you buy the black original version or the later S version Hans?

It was the original black version. Yes I really would have liked the S
version because MRC is one of the more exciting properties of APS, but then,
there still isn't really much choice in APS film. Anyway I didn't have any
choice: I bought it at the Cash Converters and they only had one sample
which originated from a bankruptcy so they told me.

:Btw, it's a the real pity that the Centurion/S/
:APS ZLR is not available any more here in Sweden. I have tried to convince
my
:mother to buy the S version for a long time, and now it's too late... :-(

Is the Centurion completely discontinued, or just in Sweden? It is still
present on the Oly sites in Europe and US...

Btw, I've already found a couple of interesting add-on options to increase
its usability. The macro lenses for the iS-1000/2000 can be used with a
46->49mm step-up ring. This works, as long as the AF sensor cooperates (no
MF override). The same ring can be used to attach the hood of the Zuiko
24mm/F2.8, or 49mm filters. I have two 46m threaded video converters (wide
and semi-fisheye) that add super wide to the Centurion.

Things I like about the Centurion: its size, weight, ease of operation (even
my girlfriend, who knows nothing about SLR, shutter speeds and apertures
could understand and handle it), LED panel illumination and AF. Its AF is at
least as fast and accurate as the iS-3000 and maybe even a bit faster. Oh
and it is really a quite camera.

One thing I don't like: the flash being used as an AF assist light. It is
annoying when you aim it at people.
