Hi,

In anticipation of the ADITL3 shots, I was wondering a bit about a small
thingie:

Does anyone know why both the 35mm Shift and the 24mm Shift don't have auto
diafragms?

Is it perhaps the case that the diafragm itself is located in the part of
the lens which gets shifted, hence somehow making it impossible to couple it
to a diafragm lever in an automated way?!?

It don't really see any other explanation than this. I can't stop wondering
though if Oly couldn't somehow have come up with a design in which an auto
diafragm would have been possible...

Anyway, I was hoping to find an answer to this in the OM lens handbook, but
so far I haven't come across an explanation. Maybe it's somewhere in one of
the parts I still have to read (like the lens lexicon).

Cheers!
Olafo
