The T-10 with cross-polarizer is better for shooting through glass, or
highly reflective surfaces, whereas the T-8 with reflectors produces very
low contrast light, and so is better for high contrast subjects, or
subjects with a lot of releif.

For nature-photography of 3D subjects, I'd go with the T-8. For copy
photography (stamps, documents, artwork, etc.) I'd go with the T-10,
particularly for copy work behind glass.
