If 6x7 or 6x9 is suitable, check into the old Mamiya Press cameras or even
the Omegas.  These are at bargain basement prices yet are extremely good
performers.  In this day and age of "must be SLR" the old rangefinders are a
steal.

In my book, 6x7 or 6x9 takes you up against 4x5 with all the benefits of
roll-film.
