Winsor -- I've prolly got it wrong, but it seems to me that the "normal" progression runs 1,1.4,2,2.8,4,5.6,8,11,16,22,32 (or something like that) -- with the amount of light doubling for each step down -- ie cutting by 1/2 for each step up.
